Loren passed away peacefully from this life the morning of Sunday, May 24, 2015 after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. Loren was preceeded in death by his parents Charles and Vera (Brady); by his brothers Cecil and Joe; and daughter Janene. Loren is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen; children, Jared, AJ, Aaron, Lora, and Thomas; brothers Owen, Charles and Henry; and 11 grandchildren.
Dad was born in Artesia, California on September 6, 1945. He moved to Draper, Utah when he was a child with his mother showing him the importance of strong bonds with his brothers. He was called to serve an LDS mission to Canada and ended up serving there and in El Paso, Texas. Loren later met Eileen (White) Minnick and immediately fell in love with her. They married in the Oakland California Temple on June 1, 1968. He graduated from BYU while married to mom. They had their first three children in Utah and then moved back to California, where the next three would be born, raised and he would reside for the next 30+ years.
Loren was a graphic artist, teacher, business owner and worked hard during his life. He loved singing, woodworking, painting and interacting with his family. He served in two LDS temples, a church service mission at an LDS Bishop Storehouse and his family. He was a loving and deeply caring man and will be deeply missed.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 10-11:15am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 360 Portsmouth Ave, Vacaville, CA 95687. Funeral services will be held in the same location at 11:30am. Dedication of the Grave will be immediately following at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LDS Church Humanitarian Fund.
