Agrifina Heraña
Lajon
d. Jul 13, 2022
Agrifina Heraña Lajon, age 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Vacaville, California. Agrifina was born September 8, 1930 in Pila, Santa Lucia Ilocos Sur, Philippines, to Alfredo Hachelis Heraña and Juana Peralta Habon.
"Fina" as her family and friends lovingly called her was an extremely hard working woman. When she lived in the Philippines, she was known as a fierce business woman. She ran multiple shops in different industries such as fishing, rice, and tricycles, with her husband. She found a passion for dress making and her talent as a seamstress only got better throughout the years.
Fina was also a devout catholic, who loved to spend time in the church. She never missed a Sunday mass and was always eager to find a church to attend in whatever city her journey of life led her to. She was a member of St. Justin Parish in Santa Clara, CA, Shrine of St. Padre Pio, in San Antonio, TX, St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Michael Catholic Community in Vacaville, CA. Her faith was something she loved to share with her family as much as her sewing.
Fina also found great joy in the time she spent with her family, watching movies and tv shows in both English and Tagalog, talking on the phone with her siblings, and was always delighted in sharing a delicious meal, whether it be at home or out on the town. She also dedicated efforts to achieving dual citizenship, an achievement she was extremely proud of.
Agrifina is now reunited with her husband, Rufino Lavarro Lajon, her brothers; Alfonso Habon Heraña, Mike Habon Heraña, and her sister; Cherrie Heraña Wilcox.
She leaves behind her loving family, her brothers; Roger Habon Heraña, Max Habon Heraña, Nolie Habon Heraña, her sisters; Lourdes Heraña Ubarre, Rose Heraña Gackstetter, her son; Pedro Heraña Lajon married to Cynthia Reyes Lajon, her daughter; Thelma Heraña Lajon-Dimalanta married to Alexis Elamparo Dimalanta, her grandchildren; Mark Peter Lajon married to Lenn Calica, Cecilia Reyes Lajon, Gabriel Alec Dimalanta married to Leah Ashley Dimalanta, Genesis Alexa Dimalanta, and her great grandchildren; Marcus Francis Lajon and Olive Guerrero Dimalanta.
Agrifina will be missed by her family and friends, but not forgotten. We have been left with precious memories, humorous stories, her acts of kindness, and demonstrations of love. We thank the Lord for the opportunity to have known her. May Our Heavenly Father comfort the heart of each family member and friend.
The visitation and rosary for Agrifina will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home, 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville, CA 95687. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1791 Marshall Rd, Vacaville, CA 95687, followed by a committal service at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery, 522 Elmira Road, Vacaville, CA 95687.
