Allen Yost passed away on April 30, 2025 at the age of 62. Allen was born in Vallejo, CA to Dale and Sharon Yost on December 2, 1962. Allen was raised in Vallejo and went to Pennycook Elementary, Springstowne Junior and Hogan Senior High School. He graduated in 1981. He attended electronics school at Solano Community College. Allen met Jennifer Puccinelli in Vallejo in 1984.They were married at Saint Basil the Great Catholic Church in Vallejo in 1988. They entered into a Christian marriage with the Deacon from the Catholic Church and the Pastor from the Baptist Church performing the ceremony together. They were together over 40 years.
He worked as a cook and manager for 11 years at the Joy of Eating in Vallejo. He worked for Cutter Labs, Miles, Inc. and Bayer, Corp for a total of 29 years. After retirement, Allen worked for Vaca Hills Chapel for 3 years. He enjoyed the work and helping people in their time of need. Allen was a member of First Baptist Church in Vallejo. He was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West NSGW Vallejo and Solano Chapters. He played on the bocce team. He sold tickets annually to the crab feed and would make the tables festive and provide treats. A fun time was had by all. Allen had a love for cars, including a1968 Mercury Cougar, his very first car. He was so proud when the Good Guys Rod and Custom Association interviewed him regarding his car and placed a picture of it in the Good Guys magazine. Allen was a great guy and a genuine friend. He was known to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Allen was honest, trustworthy, kind &gentle, he had a heart of gold. He will be missed by all.
Allen was preceded in death by his father, Dale Yost. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Yost, mother, Sharon Yost, brothers, Martin and Carl Yost, father in-law, Roy Puccinell, sister-in-law, Christianna (Dennis) McCarty. Hel eaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, including his dog, Zippy.
