Annie Smith Anson

Annie Smith Anson, age 93, died peacefully on December 23, 2021. She was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, the daughter of the late Walter and Maria (Navarro) Smith. She was the youngest sister of the now deceased Ruth M. Pizza, Ambrose, Phillip, Allen and Jasper Smith. She was married to the late Cesar G. Anson. She was a loving and caring homemaker who raised all her children. She also had other interests like cooking, sewing, and even started a handicraft business. She moved to the United States in the late 70s and worked mainly at the Federal Bureau of Labor, Veterans Affairs until she was 73 years.

She was mother to Theresa (Snookie), Cesar Jr., Susan, Magdalena (Rocky) married to Ezra Castillo, Patrick, Katherine married to Chip Aquino, the late Christina and Cynthia (Cindy). She was grandmother to Christian Anson, James Anson, Richard (Jag) So married to Doreen, Charles (Chuck) Aquino married to Allie, Angelo Christakis married to Quiria, Charlotte (Charlie) Castillo, Celianne (Lian) Aquino, Stefano Christakis, Mauro Christakis and Chloe Aquino. She was great grandmother to Gabriel (Bree) and Zoee Anson, Phoenix and Phoebe Ann So. Annie was also survived by many nephews and nieces.Visitation and mass will be held at the Vaca Hills Chapel, 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville, CA 95687. Tel#707-446-3233, on January 5, 2022 between 11:00 am through 3:00 pm. Mass will be at 3:00 pm. Interment will be on January 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
