Anthony (Tony) Fuzie passed away on the morning of June 20, 2023, at home with his wife after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 64 years old. Tony was born on August 21, 1958, at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. He is the son of the late Edward Fuzie and Modestina (Tina) nee Nachtigall Fuzie. He leaves behind his mother Modestina Fuzie, his beloved wife Christina Ramos, children Jessica and Edward Fuzie; stepchildren Mia, Santino, and Giovanni Carrara; sister Cindy Fuzie (Scott Edwards), nephew Ryan Jenkins, niece Alyssa Masters (Caleb), and darling great niece Annabelle as well as many cousins.

Tony was a graduate of Vacaville High School class of 1976 and enlisted in the United States Air Force for six years. After his honorable discharge he then went into Civil Service at Travis Air Force Base with his combined time spanning thirty years. Most of his career was spent in the healthcare sector and after retiring from Civil Service he moved to the private sector while getting his bachelor's degree in business administration and was magna cum laude of which he was very proud. At the time of his passing he was the Director of Facilities Services for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.

Many who knew Tony would attest that he was a man of integrity, kindness, and was always fair. He had a way of connecting with people. He had an open-door policy for anyone who needed help or advice and was able to see the potential in others. He's served as a mentor to many during his long career.

Tony was the master of random facts. He could name any plant, fish, bird, or tree. He always knew what it was. Tony shared these random facts liberally much to the dismay of his wife who had no idea how he knew all this. His favorite past time was hiding around the house and scaring the you-know-what out of his wife and kids so much so that he'd laugh so hard he'd cry.

He was a scholar of history, all eras, but especially the Civil War. His reenacting career spanned over 30 years and he served in every possible role. Tony was an expert in Hardee's military drill, specifically battalion and brigade level. At one event, he had command of over 1000 men on the field. He had a deep voice, so distinctive you knew it was him coming around a corner.  He was a joy to watch and took great pleasure in sharing his knowledge with the public. No one looked better in an officer's frock coat than Tony.  Despite how much he loved being at an event with his pards, Tony would sneak out of camp late Saturday night to head home to his wife.

More than anything else he loved his wife and fought hard to stay here with her. He was at his core a protector. They had an epic, grand love story, one for the ages. Many who witnessed the two of them together would comment on how deeply their love showed. Thankfully they were able to traverse this illness together and were together at the very end just as he wanted it.

He will be deeply missed and leaves behind a great legacy in all those who loved him.
