Barbara Jane
Wyatt
Feb 27, 1929 — Oct 27, 2019
Vacaville
Barbara Wyatt, our loving and devoted mother and friend passed away peacefully on October 27, 2019. She was born February 27, 1929 in
Providence, RI. She was one of eight siblings. She was 90 years old.
Barbara married Jim Russell in 1948, and became a military wife, traveling to many different bases throughout the United States and finally settling in Vacaville in 1968. She met and married her second husband, the late Cal Wyatt in 1987.
Barbara's love for others shone through with all the wonderful and devoted friends she had throughout the years. She dedicated her life to helping handicapped children and young adults working in special education as a Para educator at Irene Larson School, and retired in 1999.
She had a passion for gardening and shared her gifts with her children. A voracious reader, she enjoyed participating in a book club with her daughters and friends for over 20 years. Most importantly above all else she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
She was the beloved mother of Jeanne (Bill) Garner, Karen (Don) Dinsdale, Bill (Teri) Russell, Cheryl (Mike) Hayden, Danny Russell and the late Christopher Russell (Angela). She was the proud grandmother of Billy, James (Jennifer), Jason (Corina), Joel (Rachelle), Bobby (Amber), Nathan, Ryan, Kristen (Tyler), Tyler and Erin and great grandmother of Harley, Justin (Jordan), Cody, Jody, Jason Jr., Ashley, Alexandra, Jackson, Bobby Jr., Robby, and Addison, and great-great grandmother to Jayden and Juliet. Barbara was the sister of Elizabeth Delicio of Cranston, RI, and the late Dorothy Chase, Richard Weeden, Joan Chase, Mary Lou Bonetti, Hope Votta, and Robert Weeden.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at St. Josephs Church, December 3,
at 10 am, followed by internment at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery,
in Dixon, CA.
