We are deeply saddened to announce that Ben Kai Huie passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026, with his family by his side.

Born in Guangdong Province, China, Ben later married Lisa Siu Huie, his beloved wife of over 50 years, who preceded him in death.

He emigrated to the United States in pursuit of a better life for his family. He worked tirelessly as a cook in Chinese restaurants to provide for them and moved to Vacaville in 1990.

Ben and Lisa had four children: Keith (Rosemary), Janet (widow of Richard Mifflin), her partner Glenn Spitzer, Dennis (Kim), and Susan (Kevin Dull). He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Emily, Kelsey (Camryn Eicher), Natalie, Katelyn, Kai, Bryce, and Tyler.

He will be remembered as warm, loving, hardworking, and deeply devoted to his family. To his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as "Gung Gung." He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and sacrifice. His family is proud of all he accomplished, especially overcoming many obstacles to build a better life for those he loved.

Per Ben's wishes, a private interment will be held with family.
