Carolyn Ann Bradley
February 23, 1939 - September 28, 2025
Carolyn A. Bradley passed away comfortably and at peace on September 28, 2025 in Fairfield, California. She was born on February 23, 1939 in Battle Creek, Michigan, daughter of Wendell and Edna Hoag. She graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High School in 1957, attended Kalamazoo College, and then worked many years in Information Systems for New York Air Brake and the Upjohn Company, relocating to California with family in 1979.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugh E. Bradley who passed away last November, as well as her mother and father, and her only sibling, Marilyn Maxson, all of Galesburg Michigan, and Grandchild Rachel of Indiana. She leaves behind sons Curt Case (Angie) in Galesburg, Michigan, Gregory Case (Shannon) in San Antonio, Texas, daughters Jo Sullivan (Greg) in Fredericksburg, Indiana, Shawna Kubiak (Thomas) in Martinez, California, and Emily Kelly (Jay) in Venice, California. Included are Grandchildren Aaron, Alaina, Ross and Mitchell in Michigan, Ericka in Texas, Melanie in Massachusetts, Mason, Brenna, and Ada in California. Great Grandchildren Owen, Lola, and Bodie of Michigan, Silas of Indiana, and Levi of Texas. Also, a niece, Lisa and cousins residing in Michigan.
Carolyn enjoyed volunteering at her children's schools, loved church, California Women's Retreat, Bible Study and directing the CBS Evening Children's Program. She had pleasant memories of decorating the church at St. John Vianney in Walnut Creek and at St. Mary's in Vacaville. Traveling the world with Hugh reserved a special place in her heart. She loved flowers, birds, twigs and all of God's wonderful creations. Gardening was a favorite pastime. In her eyes, nature was amazing; colors, sunrise, sunsets, rainbows, rain drops and even snow. Her parting thought would be that we all spend moments each day looking and loving life around us!
A time for prayer and remembrance of Carolyn will be held at the funeral home – Vaca Hills Chapel, 524 Elmira Rd, Vacaville, CA on Monday, October 27 where friends are invited from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. A Memorial Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 350 Stinson Avenue, Vacaville, CA. on October 28 at 10:00 am will celebrate her life.
