It is with broken hearts that the family of Clifton Lynn Poole announces his passing on October 17th after a long illness.

Clif was born May 28, 1941 in Oakland, CA. to Clifton and Ruby Poole. He attended San Leandro area schools.

He worked for 28 years at the Luckys Distribution Warehouse; first  in San Leandro, and then Vacaville. After his retirement he became a realtor and a cattle rancher. He founded Wise Acres Construction and built 3 homes in the rural Vacaville area. He was active in the Rural North Vacaville Water District and the Solano County Land Alliance. He proudly served as a Grand Juror.

There was nothing Clif loved more than his wife and kids. He brought family and friends together as often as possible, whether it was for a BBQ at the ranch, or an Alaskan cruise. He had a mischievous sense of humor and was a master at teasing. He will especially be remembered for his un-paralleled stubbornness. He never once complained while struggling with his medical issues and if asked, he was always "peachy keen".

Clif is survived by his wife of 43 years, JoAnne; sons Glenn Poole (Cherry), Ron Poole (Joi), and Rick Poole (Laura); daughters Lori Eastment (Jim) and Cindy Calton (Jerry); and a brother, Merle Poole. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 3 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest son, Frank Poole.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct 24, at 11:30a.m. at the Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home, 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville. Viewing will be prior to the service from  10:00-11:00a.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear casual clothes.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you plant a tree in memory of Clif.
