Corazon
Perez
Aug 28, 1939 — Sep 22, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce our dear mother, Corazon Toyorada Perez, 85 years of age, left her earthly home and joined our creator on September 22, 2024.
She was born in Manila, Philippines on August 28, 1939, to Eutiquio Toyorada and Isabel Molina Toyorada. She obtained her high school education at Santa Isabel College of Manila. Corazon lived most of her life in the Philippines until she and her family immigrated and settled in the United States on June 14, 1994. She also worked at Kadok's restaurant in Daly City, CA, but dedicated most of her life as a housemaker to her husband Rolando E. Perez, and her 2 children Cecile Perez-Collantes and Ricardo T. Perez. Corazon is mostly known by her nickname "Julie". She was a dedicated and loving mother to her two children, as well as a very caring, understanding, and patient wife to her husband. Furthermore, she was a very loving, generous, kind, and caring Lola to her 6 grandchildren.
Mommy Julie, as we call her, is known by everyone as a very kind, funny, sweet, loving, generous, empathetic, and thoughtful individual. She was known for bringing pasalubong whenever visiting families and friends. Her hobbies include cooking, sewing, watching Filipino teleseryes, and listening to music. She loved to travel and explore many different places in addition to going out and eating various types of food. Some of her favorite food consists of palitaw, kalamay, pancit, lechon (especially the skin), sesame seed balls, siomai, siopao, and ginataang bilo-bilo. Mommy Julie was full of love, laughter, and resilience. She touched the hearts and lives of all who knew her. She emphasized the value of education and how it can positively affect your future. She valued honesty, and hard work, and highlighted the importance of not being envious of others' success and achievements. Having been a very religious individual, she emphasized the importance of building a lasting relationship with God. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. Mommy Julie, a friend to many and beloved to all, leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength; reminding us to always love, cherish, and laugh with one another.
Corazon is survived by her brother Pedro Toyorada, her husband Rolando Perez, her daughter Cecile, her son Ricardo, daughter-in-law Josephine, son-in-law Fred, and grandchildren Carmelita, Christian, Adrian, Alyanna, Jeric, and RJ. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Corazon was predeceased by her parents Eutiquio Toyorada, and Isabel M. Toyorada, and her oldest siblings Conchita T. Borras, Glicerio Toyorada, and Gloria T. Holiday.
To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread,
