David Lee Boles, 73, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 19, 2026, in Vacaville, CA. Dave was born on December 7, 1952, in Fairfield, California. Dave was the beloved son of the late Leland(Lee) & Lorell Boles,  long-time residents of Vacaville, CA. Dave grew up in Vacaville where he attended Alamo Elementary School, Jepson Jr. High School and Vacaville High School, graduating with the Class of 1971.

At a young age, Dave was an enthusiastic musician, teaching himself to play keyboards and guitar. Bass guitars became his true passion and he enjoyed playing in many bands during his lifetime, including The Livewire Band and Tufftones.

Dave earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Chico State University in 1977. He started his career working in Vallejo for Mercedes-Benz in the parts department, then eventually worked his way up to Parts Manager for Von Housen Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento. He worked for over 37 years in the automotive industry, finally retiring in 2012.

Dave also had a strong interest in Go-Karting, earning awards as well as racing his model RC cars on the weekends. In 2015, Dave joined SCCC (Solano Classic Car Club) during which time he restored his cherished 1969 La Mans Blue Chevy Camaro that he would showcase in local car shows. Dave was so passionate about his classic car that it brought him much joy and would be his favorite pastime.

Dave enjoyed spending time at home where on occasion his friends and family would stop by for a visit, sit on his porch and reminisce about the good 'ole days and also current events. He is survived by many cousins in California, Washington, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Outdoor Chapel at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery on February 10 at 10AM, 522 Elmira Road, Vacaville, CA.
