In Loving Memory

We honor and remember David Joseph Bonaime, who has recently passed away, celebrating his life and the memories he leaves behind. David touched the hearts of family, friends, and community members, and his legacy will continue through the stories and love shared by those who knew him. David was a man of great faith and now resides in the kingdom of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of David Bonaime, 63, on January 18, 2026 in his home.  David was born on April 16, 1962 to Betty and Raymond Bonaime.  He was raised, went to school and graduated from Neche, North Dakota.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Romelie, and his beloved children, Mary and Samantha.  He is also survived by his siblings, Mike, Tina, (Larry's wife), Tammy, LuAnne (Jim) and James (Diane).  He is preceded in death by his parents, Mike's wife, Mollie, Tina's husband, David, and Larry.

He joined the Army National Guard on May 4, 1979 and later transferred to the U.S. Air Force.  He had 32 years of service.  He was a crew chief in the Air Force on a KC10.  He was awarded numerous awards and decorations, to include a meritorious service medal, an Air Force accommodation medal, and an Air Force outstanding unit award with a V for valor.  His legacy of service, love and dedication will forever be cherished by his family and friends.

The viewing will be held Monday, February 2nd at Vac Hills Chapel Funeral Home, 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville, CA from 5-8 pm.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3rd at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2700 Dover Avenue, Fairfield, CA at 11:00.  After the funeral, you are all invited to a reception at Romelie's house, 2945 Shasta Drive, Fairfield, CA at 12:30 to 4:00.pm.  Internment will be held Wednesday,  February 4th at Sacramento Valley National Military Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA at 10:00 am.

May his memories bring comfort and peace to all who mourn his loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
