Obituary

Donovan Nicholas Oram passed away on January 2, 2025 while he was having fun and spending time with loved ones - his two favorite things he loved to do. Donovan was known to many as "Don" but was given the nickname "Don Don" by his close family. Donovan was born in Vallejo, California but spent his childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood in the cities of Fairfield and Vacaville, California. He graduated with his high school diploma from Vanden High School and continued his educational and vocational skills as an apprentice in the Carpenter's Union. Donovan had completed his apprenticeship and started the next step of his career as a journeyman.

Everyone who has gotten the pleasure to meet Donovan knows he was full of life and energy. As a child, he started his passion for music by learning to play the piano and drums and joining the elementary school band. He also was on the YMCA swim team, played basketball through the community center, and practiced taekwondo where he earned his black belt. During his adolescent years, Donovan continued to play in the school band as a percussionist and also found a new passion for photography. Donovan always enjoyed playing video games since he was a child, but his passion for drifting started when he was introduced to a drifting video game. He then started watching drifting events and taking pictures of cars, which inspired him to buy and build his own drift car. At the start of his young adulthood, Donovan was able to achieve his goal and participated in his first drifting event, which led to many more. He also enjoyed working on motorcycles and would ride his motorcycle during his free time.

Donovan is survived by his parents, Douglas Oram and Maria Galindez; his sister, Marissa Oram; his aunts, Annaliza Tiss and Roseabelle Malmgren; his uncles, Conrad "Lee" Galindez, Roger Tiss, and Matt Malmgren; and his cousins, Rachael and Kimberly Tiss and Olivia Malmgren.
