Dora Elisa Cueva (Garcia)

September 30, 1945 –   May 13, 2018

Dora Elisa Cueva passed away peacefully after a long illness on May 13, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1945 to Aurelio and Maria del Refugio Garcia.

Dora met and married her husband, Joseph Cueva, in Vacaville in 1966 and they were together for 52 years. While living in Vacaville, Dora worked for Basic Vegetable Products Company for 11 years and then worked for the Prison Industry Authority for 18 years. After Joseph and Dora retired from state service, they chose to reside in Winters, CA.

Dora is survived by her brother Aurelio Garcia and sister Cuca Garcia Soto, her husband Joseph Cueva, sons Arturo Cueva (Rebecca), Daniel Cueva (Cheryl), daughter Michelle Gillmore (Jeff), grandchildren Arthur, Myla, Andrew, Elisa, Isabella, Mia, Joey (Candace), and Julia. Dora is also survived by numerous sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a dedicated daughter, sister, tía, wife, and mother. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all.

A Celebration of Life for Dora will be held on Friday May 18, 2018, at 12:00 pm at Vaca Hills Chapel, 524 Elmira Road in Vacaville.
