Elijah Green Jr. "Tommy", passed away December 15th, 2022 at the age of 76. Elijah was born to Julia and Elijah Sr. Green in Petersburg, Virginia on October 11th, 1946. Elijah joined the United States Air Force in 1967 and served during the Vietnam War. It was there that Elijah learned machining for military aircrafts and was stationed at the Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California until he retired in 1988. Elijah met Kumkan in 1970 and were married on February 13th, 1973, making their home in Fairfield, California. They looked forward to a long and happy life together.

Elijah was known for being incredibly passionate about his work as a jet engine machinist. He excelled in the exacting nature this work required, with a bright future ahead of him. He made friends and earned the respect of so many of his peers. When he wasn't at the job site, Elijah enjoyed practicing and teaching martial arts. He had a martial arts school for 25 years and transitioned to opening up a soul food restaurant, "Smokey Joes" in 2011. To unwind at the end of the day, Elijah enjoyed gatherings with his friends to have long and deep conversations.

Elijah is survived by his wife Kumkan and their three children, Kenitha, Tiahna and Tiaera; his god daughter Lisa; brother, George, as well as extended family, friends, mentors, and coworkers he touched during his life, who loved him dearly and helped him become the person he was.

A memorial service will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, at 5810 Midway Road in Dixon, California on Wednesday January 12th, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. A viewing from 5-8 P.M. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 will be held at Vaca Hills Chapel 524 Elmira Road Vacaville, California.
