Elsie M. Jacobson passed away on 7/16/2023 with her family by her side. She was born in Willmar, Minnesota Sept 18th, 1926 to Arthur and Esther Peterson.  She graduated from Willmar High School and entered the U.S. Cadet Nurse Service,  graduating as an RN from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She received her BSN in Nursing from Holy Names College, Oakland, Ca.   She practiced nursing in Minnesota and in 1954 joined Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo in Nursing Administration for 30 years.  She retired in 1984.  After retirement she was an active Kaiser volunteer in health education for 12 years at Kaiser Vacaville.   Elsie was married to Burton Jacobson for 65 years  He passed away in 2013    They had a very active life of travel and RVing all over the U,S.  She was an avid reader and always up to date on world affairs.  She is survived by daughter Randi Blake (Steve), grandson Eric Dreier (Nicole) and  Great grandchildren Garon, Lucy, Annie, Colt, Cody (Phoenix) and Rowan Gusts (Pasadena).  Also, grandmother to Kristin Gusts and Wendy Blake, along with many nieces and nephews. Her grandson Grant passed away in 2021.   She was a charter member of Shepherd Of the Hills Lutheran church in Vacaville.  Private funeral graveside service will be at Sacramento Valley National Veterans Cemetery.
