To his friends and family, he was lovingly known as "E" or "Eric." To his children and their many friends, he was forever "Pops," a father figure not only to his own family but to countless others throughout the neighborhood. Eric leaves behind a legacy of love, protection, and unwavering loyalty. He is survived by his two sons, Eric A. Bass and Armand M. Bass; his daughter, Tiara R. Urgarte-Bass; and his grandchildren, Anthony J. Roll-Bass, Sophia A. Ramirez-Bass, Adalae S. Bass, Adriana M. Bass, and Conner Bass. Eric's family meant everything to him.

Born in San Francisco, California, to Barbara Mendoza of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Eric Bass of San Francisco, California, he was of proud Filipino and Hawaiian descent. Raised with love and guidance, he credited much of his upbringing to his grandmother Mae, along with his many aunts and uncles, who shaped his values. He worked as an upholstery and carpet technician, known for his meticulous nature and strong work ethic. Beyond work, Eric loved sports like fishing and baseball, enjoyed Filipino food and music, and valued time spent with family and friends. His outgoing nature, great sense of humor, and warm personality left a lasting impression on everyone.

Eric is survived by his siblings Guy, Rory (Mejoe), William (Billy), John, and Michelle, as well as aunts and uncles Sylvia, Faith, and Donald. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara, and his aunts and uncles Rose, Bryon, Ronald, Herbert, Harold, and Arthur. Their memory lives on through him and his family.

Eric was fiercely protective of his loved ones, making those around him feel safe and valued. He lived by the principles of loyalty, respect, love, and humor, imparting these values to all who knew him. His big heart made him beloved in his community. A Memorial Service will be held for Eric Bass on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 11 A.M. at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home; 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville CA 95687.

A Reception to follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Ulatis Cultural Center; 1000 Ulatis Drive (Room EFG), Vacaville, CA 95687.

The family will provide the opportunity for those who knew Eric to share memories and poems at both the Memorial Service and at the Reception. Flowers may be sent to the Memorial Service day of to Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home.
