Francis Bernard Wagner (Frank), of Vacaville, CA passed away August 22, 2019. He was 91. He was born in Sarcoxie MO, son of Alfred and Josephine Wagner. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers AJ, Clem, Giles and sister Rosemary. He was a graduate of Pierce City High School. While in Missouri he met and married his beloved wife of 65 years, Dorothy Imogene Dacy. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, sons Frank Wagner Jr. (wife Melodee) and Michael Wagner and daughters Linda Peckham (husband Mark) and Mary Wagner (husband Jeff). Frank delighted in his family, including 4 grandchildren, 9 great grand-children, nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends. Frank was a WWII veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army. Frank worked for the State of California as a Correctional Officer and after retirement, he and Dorothy had many adventures as they traveled the country in a recreational vehicle. He volunteered for the Forest Service and worked many years at Lucerne Valley Marina caring for the Ashley National Forest and Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. Frank enjoyed good food, good wine and good friends and was happiest in the midst of gatherings with those he loved. Services will be held September 16, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vacaville, CA followed by interment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Frank's name to the American Cancer Society.
