He was born as the seventh of ten children of Tom and Myrtle Crouch in Fresno, California

The Family moved to the Modesto, CA area in the early 1940s where George attended school. In
1949 he joined the US Navy and was stationed on the mine sweeper USS Courser during the
Korean war. In October 1950 he was on the USS Chatterer when it received a Presidential Unit
Citation for suppressing hostile shore batteries, aided two sinking ships, and clearing the mines
out of Wonsan Harbor. While home on leave in 1951 he met the love of his life, Donna Ahlfs,
and they married on October 13, 1951. They were married for almost 70 years before his death.
He chose to receive Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1956 and faithfully attended the First Baptist
Church of Ceres until 1972. He moved the family away for job opportunities as a Nissan
Mechanic in 1972, eventually settling in Solano County for almost 30 years. During retirement
he moved to Jeffersonville, Indiana for eight years before finally settling in Kingman for his last
seven years. During his retirement he visited Germany, Greece, Israel, and England, along with
becoming exceptionally good at working with stained glass.
He is survived by his wife Donna of Kingman, Arizona, and their four children: Ron (Marie) of
Fairfield, CA; Mike (Charlene) of Kingman, Arizona; Jeff (Janette) of Dayton, OH; and Betty
