Helen Vazquez
January 30, 1934 – November 21, 2024

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Helen Vazquez, who peacefully entered eternal rest on November 21, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on January 30, 1934, Helen was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She lived a life filled with love, devotion, and a strong commitment to her family.

Helen married the love of her life, Vincent Vazquez, on October 13, 1949, in Fairfield, CA. Together, they built a family grounded in love, and they created many cherished memories. Helen's devotion to her husband, children, and grandchildren was the foundation of her life, and she instilled in them the values of kindness, hard work, and compassion.

Helen was a skilled seamstress, creating beautiful works with her hands, and her talent touched many lives. She also had a deep love for cooking and gardening, always creating a warm and welcoming home for her loved ones. Her meals brought comfort, and her garden reflected her nurturing spirit.

A woman of strong convictions, Helen found great strength in her relationship with Christ and the Scriptures. She loved being part of the faith community at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville, CA. Her life reflected the love, patience, and kindness she shared with everyone around her.

Helen is survived by her brothers David, Primo, Michel, and Ed, and her sister Rachael Englund. She is also survived by her children Mark (Ellen) and Martha (Steve Nyser), her grandchildren Vincent Vazquez, Max Nyser, and Ansel Knight, and her great-grandchild Camila Vazquez. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vincent; granddaughter Sophia Nyser-Vazquez; and her siblings Samuel, Ruben, Albert, Carmen, and Raymond.

A viewing and rosary for Helen will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home, 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville, CA 95687. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 350 Stinson Ave, Vacaville, CA 95688.

In honor of Helen's 30-year battle with Parkinson's disease, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Helen's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. Her life was a testament to love, compassion, and kindness, and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
