Howard Dean Bisek, 86 of Rio Vista, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 26, 2021 in Vacaville.  He was born on April 8th, 1935 in South Dakota to Martin and Clara Bisek and then moved to California in the late 1940's.  Howard then enlisted in the Air Force in 1954 and served 4 years.   Howard quite often reminisced of his time in Germany.   He later spent 33 years at the Chevron Richmond Refinery assigned to the Richmond Long Wharf in Operations.

Howard enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his beloved Oakland A's, playing bocce ball and was a master at crossword puzzles.  For many years he and the family traveled in their RV and made numerous trips across the U.S.   In his later years he also volunteered at Kaiser Hospital.

Howard was survived by his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Cathy Bisek and his two grandchildren Ashley Bisek and Brie Bisek. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Roberta and stepdaughters, Donna and DeAnna.

There will be a funeral service at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home 524 Elmira Road in Vacaville. Prior to the funeral a viewing will start at 10:00 A.M. He will be laid to rest following the funeral at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon at 1:15 P.M.
