Inga Lynn
Meadows (Dimter)
Aug 29, 1924 — Apr 6, 2018
Inga Lynn Meadows (Dimter) was born on August 29, 1924 and died peacefully at home on April 6, 2018. She was born in Bielefeld, Germany during World War II to the parents of Karl Sebastian and Hedwig Louise Dimter. She led a very interesting life, dealing with the surroundings of war, but managed to make it to America to become a naturalized citizen and loved it. She married at 22, had one daughter Helen Pippin. She divorced and remarried Hobart Thomas Meadows who passed in 1996. She is survived by two granddaughters, Sherry Williams and Bonnie Pippin (married to Andrew Pippin), four grandchildren, Jennifer, A. J., Michael, Dustin, and step-grandchildren Robert and Danielle Pippin, and two step grandchildren, Chance and Chad. She had a great love of family and showed it every chance she got to see them.
She was a homemaker, loved to fish, camp, was an avid golfer, cook, and a gardener. Being a military partner to Hobart (Tom) Meadows, there was a lot of traveling to be done, Japan, Massachusetts, Tennessee, ending back to California where she enjoyed the remainder of her life. She loved her family and any activity connected to them.
There will be a celebration of life for friends and family on April 22, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Leisure Town Community Center, 100 Sequoia Drive, Vacaville. Her wishes were simple, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity (Inga loved dogs, so maybe the SPCA) in her honor.
She will be laid to rest at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
