James (Jim)
Arrington
d. Jul 5, 2020
Vacaville
James (Jim) Arrington served this country and his community for over four decades -- the first half in the military and the second half in law enforcement. He survived his combat tours having been awarded the Purple Heart, but could not survive his long battle with kidney disease and other ailments. Although he fought bravely, he finally lost the battle on July 5 th , 2020. His legacy will live on through his loving wife, Irene Tanglao Arrington, who has been by his side through sickness and in health.
Jim was fondly remembered as a gentle giant with a deep voice; however, don't let that Barry White velvety baritone fool you, he couldn't carry a tune to save his life. His heart, however, was as big as his stature. His grandchildren affectionately referred to him as "Papa Jim", a term of endearment that was sweet to his ears and his grandchildren alike. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's located on Travis A.F.B. at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
