Obituary

James Joseph Balestreri, age 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, his two daughters, and his dog on October 27,2022 in Vacaville after a courageous six month battle with cancer. He was born on December 2, 1950 in San Francisco, Ca to Frank and Palmira Balestreri. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969. He married Arlene on August 10, 1974 and together they had twin daughters. He worked as an armored car guard for over thirty five years.
Jim's passions were bowling, cooking, and family. He would bowl in tournaments as a member of ABT on weekends and in a league during the week. His spaghetti sauce and polenta sauce were something that was regularly asked for and enjoyed. His family was very important to him even though he was a man of few words.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Arlene, daughters Christine ( Bobby) Lucas, and Dawn (John) Camacho. 8 grandchildren, Zach, Carissa, Johnny, Julian, Allie, Joey, Bella, and Lexie. His brother Robert (Diana) Balestreri, brothers in law, sisters in law, and many nieces, nephews, and relatives. We will all miss him terribly, including his favorite puppy Kokoa Bailey.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Jim touched are invited on November 8, 2022 to Vaca Hills Chapel for visitation and rosary from 5-8pm and rosary starting at 6 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday November 9, 2022 at 10am at St Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville, Ca.
