Obituary

James Edgar Barrow, affectionately known as "Jimbo" went home to Jesus on the morning of January 28, 2021. He passed away from COVID-19.

Jim was born in North Hollywood, California on January 18, 1956 to Marvin and Janice Barrow.

Jim attended Carson High School and shortly thereafter he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from 1974-1977. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1979-1985.

After honorably serving our country, he settled in Vacaville where he worked as a firefighter at Travis Air Force Base from 1987-1997.

He married his beloved wife, Tami on June 26 th , 2000 and proudly referred to her as his beautiful bride.

They welcomed Mikalah in 2003 and then Robbie and Brittnee.

Jim loved BIG! He loved Jesus and sharing God's love with others. He loved spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger. His passions were sailing, playing guitar, back yard bbq's, camping, swimming in his pool, playing golf and star gazing in the hot tub.
Jim had a BIG personality that never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Tami; stepparents, Marilyn Apostolos and Jim Krepps; children, Mikalah, Robbie and Brittnee (Colton Sr.); 4 grandchildren, Serenitee, Kennee, Colton Jr. and Autto; sister, Maria Sirp; brother Bob Barrow, brother, Chris Barrow (Laurie), sisters, Jackie Wiley (Dennis) and Cheryl Smith; He is also survived by a host of extended family and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Janice;

Jim will privately be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life on March 7 th at 11:30 A.M. at New Hope Christian Fellowship 4910 Allison Parkway Vacaville open to all to attend.
