James Lee Perry passed away on April 16, 2019 at the age of 62 after five months of courageously battling complications from bypass surgery. James was born in Kansas City, Kansas on November 10, 1956. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. Once he was discharged from the service, Jim relocated to Missouri and pursued a career in plumbing, heating and air conditioning. That trade became his passion, and he worked for numerous companies including One Hour Service in Blue Springs, Missouri where he met the love of his life, Lori. They were married on October 10, 1987 and had two children, Kaylee Mae LaVae and James Edward Perry. James was an amazing husband and father, uncle, brother and friend. He was a true follower of Christ and was very involved in his church, New Hope Christian Fellowship, where he enjoyed running sound for their band. When Jim was not working as owner of A-1 Hour Service, his family business, he enjoyed playing guitar, cooking, going to the beach with his beloved wife, and spending time with his children. He is survived by his wife, Lori; daughter, Kaylee; son Jimmy; and step-son, Mark.
