Blessed, loving husband, father, pop-pop, brother and friend.  Earl left his earthly home and proceeded to his forever home on August 22, 2024.

Born March 7, 1945, at the Bunney Hospital in Fairfield, California, to Alex Ander Sorensen and Ruby Sorensen.  He graduated from Armijo High School in 1963.  In February 1965, he enlisted into the U.S. military and proudly served as a Marine until February 1969.  During his time of service, he was a helicopter gunner in Vietnam for 13 months.

After his military service, Earl worked as a plumber and construction worker.  In 1989, he earned his certification from Solano College in the airframe power plant program and was hired by United Airlines as one of their aircraft mechanics.

One of Earl's passions was owning, racing and building a dragster.  He loved building engines and remodeling cars.  He was extremely skillful in the engine building and electrical fields.

He loved to entertain and keep people smiling.  He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed each and every day.

Earl is survived by his wife Michele of 35 years, daughter Katie, son-in-law Ken, three grandsons, Connor (Debra), Trevor and Garrett, sisters Dotti and Karen.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Earl was predeceased by his father Alex Ander Sorensen, mother Ruby Sorensen Palmer, stepfather Rev. Leonard Palmer, and brothers Howard, Alex and Calvin.

Military honors and burial took place at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California, on September 24, 2024.
