Jean "Leslie" Pedersen, 88, passed away peacefully with family present on March 2nd, 2026. Born in Glasgow, Leslie first moved to Ontario, Canada as a teenager and then to Detroit after marrying Otto. Leslie and Otto were married for almost 66 years!

Leslie had a successful career, mainly in the Automotive industry, working for American Motors, Jeep and Chrysler. She was extremely proud of her Scottish ancestry and loved to tell stories of her childhood and travels to the U.S. She remained in close contact with friends and family across the global in Canada, Scotland, Denmark and Australia.

Otto and Leslie loved RV camping and traveling on cruise ships. They spent many years driving various RVs through the U.S. and Canada, including a month long trip to Alaska. It seems like they visited just about every country there is. They enjoyed trips up to Canada to spend time with family and to spend summers up at Sauble Beach where they could watch lovely sunsets. After living in Detroit for 30 years, they designed and built their dream home across from Hammond Lake where they spent the next 30+ years until Otto passed away. Following Otto's death in 2024, Leslie moved to California to be close to her son and daughter-in-law.

Over the years Leslie remained active in numerous societies, clubs and leagues, including the Danish Sisterhood, various Bowling and Golf leagues, Church groups, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Leslie was an avid reader and enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening and music. Most of all, she loved socializing with family and friends.

Leslie is preceded in death by her husband Otto and her daughter Dana. She is survived by her son Mark (Carol) and grandchildren Christine & Halden Pedersen and Alec & Austin Hocking. She was very proud of all four of her grandchildren.

Leslie was always cheerful, happy and maintained a positive outlook. She'll be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private Celebration of Life is being planned with immediate family.
