Jimmie "Jim" Don Tipton, Vacaville, CA  11/19/1941 – 12/25/2021

Jimmie "Jim" Don Tipton, 80, passed away on December 25, 2021. He was born in Weatherford, TX on November 19, 1941 to William and Marie Tipton. In 1959, at the age of 17 he joined the United States Air Force. In 1963, he married Constance "Connie" Piechowiak Tipton at Spangdahlem AB, Germany. They spent fun times traveling in Europe before returning to the United States and starting their family.

In 1974, Jim, his wife, and young children moved to Vacaville. He continued serving his country with deployments to Vietnam, Laos, Korea, Point Arena CA, among others. He served our country for 22 years as a Medic and Medical Service Superintendent receiving many medals and accommodations for his service. He retired in 1981 from Travis AFB as a Senior Master Sergeant and enjoyed shooting trap and skeet.

He was preceded in death by his wife Connie on April 21, 2020 of Vacaville, CA. He is survived by his son Mark Tipton & wife Brenda of Eloy, AZ; daughter Melissa Tipton Diamond & husband Chris of Roseville, CA; grandchildren Andrew "Drew" Tipton of Walnut, CA & Sophie Tipton of Azusa, CA; sister-in-law Mary & husband Norman of Boothbay Harbor, ME; and nieces & nephews.

Services for Connie were delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions; thus, services are planned for both Jim & Connie on February 4, 2022, at 9:30am at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon CA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Connie & Jim's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org .
