JoAnn was born in Colorado to the late Jacob and Mary Ostwald.  She met her future husband, Don Pabst, in 1947 at the age of 15 as they grew up together in Brush, Colorado.  Don and JoAnn were married December 31,1950 when JoAnn was 18.  JoAnn and Don raised three children, Cindy, Gloria and Curt.  Career opportunity took them from Colorado, to Minnesota, to Iowa, and eventually Vacaville.  Everywhere they lived, JoAnn was a devoted wife, mother, and eventually grandmother and great grandmother.  She placed everyone else first with her famous refrain of "No need to bother over me, I am just fine!".  All who were around her benefited from her generosity of time and spirit - none more than her family.  All who knew her will miss her terribly.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Corell (Jeff);  son Curt; grandchildren Josh, Katie, Sarah and Alexis;   five great grandchildren and sister, Kathleen Aschenbrenner (Allen); sisters-in-law, Donna (Charlie), Peggy and Joyce.  Her daughter Gloria, husband Don and her parents preceded her in death.

A Funeral Service for Joanne will be private. She will be laid to rest at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
