Obituary

John Bonifacio Jr. "Johnny B" passed away on September 8th, 2018 at the age of ninety-one. John was born in Fairfield, California to John and Antonette Bonifacio. He moved to Monterey, then San Francisco and ultimately settled in South San Francisco. From three marriages, John had one daughter, four sons and one stepson. John spent many years working as a machinist for Tilley Manufacturing Company in San Carlos. In retirement he enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects, taking long walks, and visiting relatives in Vacaville on Alamo Drive. He was a past member of the Vacaville Moose Lodge #1967 and enjoyed many events there during the 1970s. As a child of the Great Depression he was a hard worker with talent that accompanied his strong and meticulous do-it-yourself approach to most anything in need of building or repair. Through his senior years John always showed a happy and cheerful personality. He routinely hummed his owned tunes and regularly used phrases such as "Wonderful" "Very good" and the drawn out, "Alright." He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Antonette and his brother Frank. He is survived by his daughter Cheryl, his sons John (Jeannine), Bill (Carolyn), Frank (Michele), and Bob (Frankie), and his stepson Jim (Darlene). He also has nine grandchildren, Steven, Ashley, Zachary, Ryan, Patrick, Erica, Alicia, Briana, Brandon, and three great grandchildren, Brooke, Aubrey, and Abigail. He will be dearly missed by many. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 18th at 1pm at Vaca Hills Chapel, 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville and he will be laid to rest at Elmira Cemetery next to his mother, sister, and brother.
