John Le Melle, 89, was born on May 25, 1934 to Eloi and Therese Le Melle.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Verna, his parents, brothers Wilbert and Leonard; his sisters Lucille, Eva, Bernice and Bernadine and grandson Patrick.

John attended school in New Iberia, LA, where he joined the Air Force in 1956 and then married the love of his life Verna Gobert.

An extroverted personality, John enjoyed making friends through associations and social settings where always offered a leaning ear to those that referred to him for guidance. After 20 years in the Air Force, John started working for McDonalds Restaurants, in Fairfield and Vacaville.  At that time he was called " King of Hamburger Hill".  He proceeded to purchase his own part of the franchise in Sacramento. In retirement John loved music, traveling, socializing with family and friends, and spending time with loved ones. In 2019, he was able to take the trip of a lifetime with his partner Joann Banks to Israel, which brought upon him complete blessings.

John leaves to cherish all of the memories of his life daughters Wanda, Carmen, Eva and Katherine, son John, (Denice), brother Tilden, his grandchildren Mimi, Lysa (Bradley), Joseph (Dansby), Calvin ( Aprile) Pennix), Dominique (Natasha) Pennix), Contessa, Brendan, Braxton (Smith), Sebastian, Gabriella, great grandchildren, Monique, Mason (Smith), Bre'Shaun, Bre'Aunna (Barkus), Olivia, Braden, Zaya (Pennix), Kennedy, Kaitlyn, Karter and a host of extended family members and friends who adored him.

A viewing for John Lemelle will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home; 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville, CA 95687

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church; 1791 Marshall Road, Vacaville, CA 95687.
