José Ramón
Reyes
Jan 10, 1958 — Feb 26, 2023
Lifelong Vacaville resident, José Ramón Reyes, 65, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 26, 2023. José is survived by his devoted wife Ofelia, loving daughter Mónica Reyes, and siblings Carmen Reyes, Arturo Reyes, and Jaime Reyes. He has three grandchildren Leinette, Angelina, and Ernesto as well as one great-granddaughter, Marieli. He has many cousins, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his son José Ángel Reyes and his parents José Ramón Reyes and Mildred Hernández Reyes. José was a good father, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather, and friend.
José graduated from Vacaville High School, class of 1976, and attended Solano College. His temporary jobs as a youth included the Vacaville Fruit Company and Basic American Foods. During his adult work years, he was employed at B.C. Stocking Distributing as a package stock driver, delivering oil products to commercial, industrial, and agricultural accounts in the region.
While enduring Multiple Sclerosis for over 35 years, he always kept his faith and fondly shared his passion for life with an instinctive smile that conveyed joy, comfort, and gratitude even in difficult moments. José loved life and braved the disease, loss of close family members, and his condition to provide inspiration to those around him. He loved music, particularly Mexican music--corridos, mariachi, cumbias, and rancheras. He loved to dance. He loved traveling to Mexico. He loved people. Jose was a loyal friend to many and always looked out for others before himself.
We will miss him deeply. May he always rest in God's peace.
