A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Antonino Sacca Jr., 77 of Vacaville, will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 30, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville. Father Vincent O'Reilly will officiate. Thursday evening, April 29 th there will be a viewing from 5-8 P.M. at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home.
Joseph was born on November 22, 1943 in Michigan to Joseph Sr. and Sylvia Sacca.
After serving his country in the Army during the Vietnam war, Joe returned to his home in Michigan and began working for a Burger King franchisee. His work ethics and successful management skills were recognized therefore initiating a promotion & relocation to California to open two new Districts for the Burger King Corporation. It wasn't long before he was awarded two restaurants as a Franchisee and proceeded to develop Sacca Corporation in Vacaville, CA. The company grew to 11 locations shared with his parents and siblings.
In 2007, Joe ventured in a new direction by opening a Golden Corral Buffet & Grill in Elk Grove, CA.
Joe enjoyed his many golfing friends and outings as well as his joy tending to his unique landscape and colorful flowers surrounding his home.
He was a mentor to many of his son's friends growing up forming a loving and respected relationship throughout the years and considered a hero in their eyes.
Alzheimer disease slowly stole his life from him for the past few years. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him including his little support dog companion, Annie.
Joe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol. Sons: Joseph Sacca III (Adriana), Christopher (Kendra), Michael (Cindy). Known as a loving PAPA to Grandsons, Hayden, Chris Jr., Carson, Luciano, Marcello, Granddaughters, Hannah, McKenna, Cameron, Riley, Liliana. Brother, Dominic (Renee), Antony (Jere), Sister, Cathy and several nieces and nephews.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr & Sylvia Sacca and sister, Louise Modos.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Food Locker, Disabled American Veterans or the Alzheimer's Association.
