Juanita Briones was a vibrant and industrious woman. She was born and raised in the Philippines; she was the third oldest of fourteen children. As a Young Woman, she studied Cosmetology and worked most of her adult life as a beautician, where she made many friends and built lasting memories. Being one of the oldest children, she helped shoulder some of the responsibilities of raising many of the younger siblings. In 1989, she immigrated to the United States where she worked several jobs and eventually was blessed with a job as a Dietary Aide at Oakridge Hillhaven Care Center in Oakland, CA for more than two decades. In June 1995, she came to know and accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. After retiring around 2012, she spent some time traveling around the states with friends, and to the Philippines. She spent most of her retirement years attending Church and Bible studies to learn more about her Savior. In her last months, she battled chronic ailments and eventually succumbed to her illness on August 26, 2026 and went to be with the Lord.
