Karen Ebanez Challburg passed away after a long illness on February 27, 2025, in the loving arms of her devoted husband, Mark. She was born on June 29, 1964, in Fairfield, CA. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Anastasia and Bonifacio Ebanez and her siblings, Anthony Ebanez, Allen Ebanez, Glenn Ebanez, and Blanche Finklestein. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Mark Challburg, and their loving and devoted son, Jacob Challburg. She is also survived by her brothers Leroy, Rodney, Floyd, Wesley, and Walter, as well as her sisters Maryann, Ruby, Connie, and Jessica. She leaves behind many beloved brother & sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Karen was an avid swimmer, cyclist, and runner. She was a true athlete who participated in numerous triathlons. She had a deep love for the outdoors and embraced an active lifestyle. Karen will be remembered for her love of life, her warm smile and her joy of cooking. She also had a passion for sewing and creating special handmade gifts for others. She found great happiness in entertaining and spending time with family and friends, especially during holiday gatherings.

Karen worked for State Farm Insurance for many years where she built lasting relationships and found great fulfillment in her work.

Visitation will be March 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vaca Hills Chapel, 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville. Funeral Service will be March 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 350 Stinson Ave, Vacaville.
