Karen Lee Horner passed away on the early morning of November 14, 2018. She was 77.

Karen was born in Des Moines, Iowa on October 20, 1941, to Kathleen Nelson (Davis).

She married her husband Donald King Horner on March 25, 1961. Karen retired from the Civil Service as a Housing Inspector at Travis Air Force base. After retirement, she traveled with her grandchildren and spent much of her time with her sons and daughter. She was a proud member of Valley Church and contributed greatly to the ministry as well as the Vacaville community.

Karen could be best described as her family's matriarch who always ensured her family's needs were met and taken care of. She had a loving heart and was incredibly spiritual.

Karen's family contains her four children Jeffrey Horner; Robert (Luchie Suzara) Horner; William (Joni) Horner; and Cheri Reed (Horner). Her four grandchildren include Jennifer, Justin, Kelli, and Ami. Karen's two great grandchildren are Conner and Evynn. She also has numerous nieces and nephews with a mass number of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday Nov. 27, at noon at Valley Church, 5063 Maple Road, Vacaville. Pastor Raleigh Galgan will officiate. Private burial including family will be held at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery.
