Daddy, Kenneth Stewart McDonald, was a dreamer, a poet and a friend to everyone he met. He was predeceased by his mother, Esther Reichenberg McDonald, and his father James Orval McDonald. Ken passed away November 16th this year, 2021.  Pamela Pollastrini was his companion and best friend, she stuck by his side through thick and then until the very end. He was four years younger than his surviving siblings, LeeAnn McDonald Bigley, Donna Lynn McDonald Bigley, and James O. McDonald. A football hero and a track star, Ken graduated from St. Helena High School (1972) in St. Helena, Napa Valley, California with a B average and as Athlete of the Year. Upon graduating he married Jeanine Bonifield, his high-school sweetheart and mother of his  baby girl. He soon joined the Army and became a helicopter pilot. Ken was stationed in several states and finally in Germany. Once his term was over he ended up back in Napa Valley with wife Jeanine and children Katherine Ann (Katie) and son Kenneth II. Able mechanically to take apart anything and put it back together most of his jobs after leaving the Army were mechanically related to the agricultural industry in the Valley. Exceptionally talented, inventive like his father with an artistic bend, he would make the sticks, rocks and other such items he found on his many hikes into art pieces desired by friends and family. From walking sticks to industrial artwork to poetry, many people have a piece they will always treasure.
