Leroy Delmar Proschold

January 2, 1962 – April 28, 2024

We are sad and heartbroken to announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and son-in-law, Leroy Delmar Proschold. Roy passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer on April 28, 2024.

Leroy was born on January 2, 1962 in Oakland, California. He was the loving son of Delmar and Gladys Proschold along with his loving sister Tami (Manning).

Roy grew up in Pleasant Hill and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1980. After graduation he went right into a Carpenters Apprenticeship to learn how to be a Carpenter like his wonderful Dad. Roy went on to work for Longs Drugs Stores, EFA Anderson and then retired from Bay Area Woodworks. He loved working for all of these companies.  Roy could do just about everything and did it well. He kept busy and loved family projects.

Roy met his beloved wife, Peggy in the 7th grade and they became each other's crushes until they married in 1987. They have been together for over 50 years this year.

Roy and Peggy welcomed two sons, Kevin and Jeff who have always been their pride and joy.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Nicole and Jeff and Rosie; 3 precious grandchildren, Emmie, Jack and Zack who have brought so much joy and have warmed both their hearts; Roy also leaves behind to cherish him, his loving cousins and their spouses, Tim and Lisa, Janyce and Gino and Steve Wilkins.

"Roy, we are all Heartbroken but you have taught us so much and have given us the strength to keep us all going …No matter where we are your loving spirit will be beside us forever.
