Lillian attended grammar school in Vacaville and was a graduate of the 1952 class of Vacaville High school where she met and married Richard Rico. After their divorce she moved to Carmel, CA where she lived for the past 40 years.

Lillian is survived by her ex-husband Richard, as well as sons Layne Rico of Naples, Florida, and Barry Rico of Vacaville. She has five grandchildren: Emelyn Konowka (Rico), Christopher Rico, Katherine Rico, Savannah Rico and Madison Rico, and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Margarette Peterson, Claudia Chandler, and Janice Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her brothers Barney and Larry Barker.
