We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mary Lu Wright. Born on November 4, 1934 in Scotland South Dakota. She was the only child of Earhart and Mabel Sternhagen. She passed away peacefully on November 5 ^th , one day after celebrating her 85 ^th birthday. Mary Lu and her family moved to Vacaville in 1968 where she taught elementary school at Markham Elementary and junior high school at Willis Jepson Junior High.  She taught Music and History and retired after 26 years.

Mary Lu enjoyed many hobbies such as quilting, traveling, going to the theatre with her friends and camping with family at her favorite spot in Bodega Bay. She also loved her many pets. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Lu is preceded in death by parents Earhart and Mabel Sternhagen, her husband, Richard D. Wright and her two favorite furry companions, Mitzi and Peanut. She is survived by her four children, Jeff, Scott, Tracy (George) Vasquez and Tami. Her grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Enriquez, Molly (Matt) Cowan, Megan Vasquez and Josephine (Freddy) Aguayo. Her great-grandchildren, Maceo and Mlo Enriquez, soon-to-be Baby Cowan, Marisa, Joey and Daniel Aguayo and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Lu also leaves behind many close friends.

Mary Lu will be laid to rest at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery and has requested a private burial with her family. There will be a celebration of life on Friday, November 15 ^th at the Elks Lodge (302 Parker Street, Vacaville) at 1:00P.M.
