Michael Albert Barkdoll, born April 23, 1961, passed away on September 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength and deep devotion to his family. A true outdoorsman at heart, Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman who found peace and joy in nature.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Barkdoll, who stood by his side through life's many journeys with unwavering love and partnership. He was a proud and dedicated father to his three sons, Jarad, Matthew, and Eric, and his daughter, Alyssa. He also held a special place in his heart for Carissa, whom he embraced as his own daughter, all of whom remember him as a guiding light and a protective presence. His heart and home were always open, extending deeply to his nieces, Christina Simkins and Sara Mixon whom he loved and helped raise as his second daughters, as well as his great-niece, Danielle Mixon, and great-nephew, David Mixon, who occupied a special corner in his heart.

His family circle also included his cherished grandson, Travis, who brought immense joy to his later years; his beloved father, Donald Barkdoll, and wife, Maggie; and his dear sisters, Micki Goad and Missi Rogers, all of whom mourn the loss of a remarkable man.

Though his departure leaves a heavy emptiness here on earth, we take comfort in knowing he was not alone upon arrival: his beloved mother, Bert, dear sister, Vicki, and cherished dog, tucker, were waiting in heaven with open arms to welcome him home.

Michael's memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him, in the stories shared around friends and family at gatherings and in the quiet grace of the great outdoors. Rest in peace, Michael; your journey on this earth was well-traveled, and you will never be forgotten.
