Michael Alan Bitney, a forty year resident of Vacaville, with earlier years in Napa, left this world July 20, 2025 at age 64.

Michael, often a warehouse worker, was known for his kind presence near the apartments where he lived. Michael was a consummate appreciator of music of the 60s and 70s, with Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, the  Grateful Dead, and Bread among his favorites. He and his sister reminisced about their childhood together riding bikes, splashing in mud puddles, playing tennis and basketball, and designing roadways for his collection of matchbox and hot wheels cars which he displayed in his apartment throughout his adult years. He always wanted to know if the people in his life were doing okay.

Michael is survived by his sister, Barbara Bitney Lane Woods (husband Bob); nieces and nephews Michael (Charon), Tara (Sam), Karen, Sarah Joy (Brian), Becky, Spencer, Stephen, Tammy, Chris, Nathan, and Adam; and their children Enoch, Noemi, Alexis, Lucas, Ezekiel, Justin, and Damyen, and 11 more. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald R. Bitney and Phala Bitney, and grandniece Phayla.

Memorial viewing and services will be Monday, Aug 4, 3 to 5 p.m. at the Vaca Hills Chapel 524 Elmira Rd in Vacaville. Wear colorful clothing if you wish
