Mike Krawec, 90 of Napa, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 27, 2017. He was born in The Bronx on April 5, 1927 to Jan and Pelagia Krawec and older sister Anne Krawec Armeny.

Mike proudly served his country in the Army and the Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He met his bride-to-be, Kathleen Cullen Krawec, at a USO dance in Manhattan. Once married, the couple settled in New Jersey where Mike graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 1971, the family relocated to Almaden Valley in San Jose where Mike started and ran a successful small business in the electronics and heating industries. He enjoyed playing all types of sports and was a lifelong fan of the NY Yankees, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the NY Giants. Family and friends always admired Mike's passion for life – he loved traveling, photography, road trips with his family, meeting new people, and a wide range of music, from opera to Big Band.

Mr. Krawec is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Kathleen; sons, Mark and Chris Krawec; daughters, Kathy Anderson and Laura Krawec; and grandchildren, Kyle, Eric, Meghan Anderson, and Nate Krawec.

The family held a private funeral service and he was laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.
