We celebrate the life and love that Mila Durkin lived and shared before she left us on April 22, 2019. She was born on July 18, 1942 in Zamboanga City, Philippines, and was the second of 7 children to Federico and Elena Santos. She was dearly loved by her father who died early at the age of 45 when she was 16 years old. She was married to her high school classmate, Ignacio "Bobby" Barrica, and had four children with him, Annabelle Carter, RubyLinda Farr, Roberto Barrica and Dennis Barrica. In 1979, she met a very loving and caring person in John Durkin, who adored her and became her second husband. They settled in Fairfield, CA. Sadly, John passed away in 1999.

In her later years, Mila loved to serve and demonstrated God's kindness and love in how she lived. She enjoyed her children and 12 grandchildren especially during family gatherings. Wherever she went, she made friends and was genuinely caring, exceptionally helpful, and very accepting of everyone.

She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her four children, their spouses and 12 grandchildren.
