It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nieves "Nita" Quimio, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Nita was called home on January 1, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on August 4, 1937, to Filomeno Laurio and Adriana Amado Laurio, Nita was a cherished daughter.

She was married to Estelito M. Quimio, and together they built a life filled with love. Nita is survived by her loving husband Estelito, and their children Maria Adelaida, Benilda, Cynthia, Divinagracia, Eleonor, Estelito Jr., Jaime, and Maria Teresa.

Nita's family grew to include 12 adoring grandchildren: Paolo, Peter, Phillippe, Percy, Pheadora, Franco, Gracelle, Gabbey, Eustace, Elisha, Eirene, and Jarisch. She was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren: Pablo, Pierre, Pao-Pao, Pauline, Loucas, Carissa, Cayden, Carinna, Quinn, Tommy, Lorenzo, and Noah. Nita was the first to pass in her family, but her loving presence will be felt for generations to come.
A woman of many talents, Nita enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, cooking, reading, and watching her favorite telenovelas. However, what she loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Nita had a unique ability to laugh and play, bringing joy and warmth wherever she went. Her love for her family was unconditional, and her generosity knew no bounds. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother whose love was beyond measure.

Nita's kindness, understanding, and compassion touched all who knew her. She was an exceptional listener, a witty soul, and a people person whose good sense of humor and supportive nature brightened every room she entered. Her legacy of love, care, and humor will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind

A viewing for Nieves Quimio will be held on Sunday, January 19th, 2025 from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home; 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville, CA 95687.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Nieves Quimio will be held on Monday, January 20th, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at our Lady of Mount Carmel; 2700 Dover Ave, Fairfield, CA 94533.
