Omar Preciado
July 22, 1978 – September 15, 2025
Omar Preciado, 47, of Fairfield, California, passed away on September 15, 2025. Omar was born on July 22, 1978 in Fairfield and grew up in Suisun Valley. He was a devoted father, loving son, cherished brother, and beloved uncle. Omar lived with an authenticity and generosity that touched everyone around him.
Omar was the proud father of Diego and Penelope Preciado, whose lives he filled with love, laughter, and guidance. He was the devoted son of Micaela and Jose Preciado and the cherished brother of Noe, Cesar, Judith, Melva, Xochitl and Tanya, as well as a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
A man of discipline and dedication, Omar approached each day with purpose. He rose early, followed his morning routine, and meticulously prepared for the day to come before heading to work as a respected industrial painting foreman. His colleagues admired not only his skill and leadership, but also the genuine warmth he brought to every interaction.
Omar had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. He found joy in hosting gatherings; making sure every guest felt welcome, comfortable, and well-fed. His cooking was legendary - caldo de pollo, albondigas, his special homemade salsa, and Diego's favorite carne asada tacos - were always served with love and laughter. He had a passion for sports, fine tequila, and a deep love for Mexico; often dreaming of retiring to a home by the ocean, where he could have his friends and family feel at home.
What truly defined Omar was his big and generous heart. He cared deeply for others, especially those in need, and lived every day striving to bring joy, connection, and authenticity to the lives around him.
Omar Preciado will be remembered not only for his work ethic and culinary talents but for the love, laughter, and humanity he shared so freely. His spirit lives on in his children, his extended family, and all those whose lives were brightened by his presence.
