Patricia Ruth Butler
January 30, 1936 - February 1, 2026

Patricia (Patsy) Simms was born January 30, 1936 to Anna Elizabeth Simms and James Reeves Simms in Oceanside, CA. The Simms Family moved to Sharp Park (Pacifica) in 1947. Patsy met Mason Butler on her first day at Sharp Park Elementary. She was in the 5th grade. Patsy graduated from Jefferson High School in 1954, then College of San Mateo where she earned an AA in Accounting. Patsy married Mason in 1955. They were married 57 years, when he passed in 2012. The Butlers had three children, Nancy (Tony Gomez), Carrie (Bill Svozil), and Bob (Juvy), 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren and the suspected favorite "Bullet" their chocolate lab.  She supported her children as a Campfire leader,  at Job's Daughters, and at Wrestling Events. Pat did secretarial work, including returning to Jefferson HS as the principal's secretary. She worked for JUHSD for 14 years and retired with Mason to Clearlake. Patsy enjoyed re-organizing, growing violets, canning plum jam, making pineapple upside-down cake, and greeting lake visitors in the morning, with sourdough pancakes (all done with very specific instructions.) She reunited with Mason on February 1, 2026 (two days after her 90th Birthday.) Patsy is survived by her family including her sister,  Adrianna Gabin from Bakersfield and many beloved nieces and nephews.
