Patrick (Pat) Alphonsus Connolly passed away peacefully at his home in Vacaville, CA on October 20, 2024. Born on February 23, 1934, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Pat was the beloved son of John and Annie (Nolan) Connolly and the second youngest of nine siblings. In 1953, he met the love of his life, Eileen Teer, and they married two years later, sharing a joyful and loving marriage for over 62 years.

In 1972, Pat and Eileen immigrated to America, seeking better opportunities for their family. Although he cherished his Irish roots, Pat embraced his new home and the opportunities it provided. He found great joy in his role as a crossing guard for the Vacaville School District, a position he held for 16 years, earning accolades from the community for his dedication and service. Upon retiring in June 2016, the community honored him by naming his crosswalk 'Patrick's Corner'.

Pat was a man of deep faith, often expressing gratitude for the blessings in his life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his love of Irish folk music and his talent for storytelling and humor. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen, his son-in-law Victor McArdle, his parents, and his siblings John, Gerard, Frank, Leo, Vincent, Lulu, Mary, and Esther. Pat is survived by his daughters Elaine Connolly, Michelle McArdle, Sharon (Larry) Brown, and his son Brendan (Donna) Connolly; his grandchildren Ryann Connolly, Evan (Nicole) McArdle, Trista (Matthew) Goins, Caitlin Brown, Lauren Brown, and Joshua (Kelsey) Connolly; his 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Pat's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the friends in Vacaville who supported them during his final days. Services will be private.
