Obituary

We regretfully announce the recent peaceful passing of our Pearl Young on February 25 th 2022. Pearl passed after a brief illness surrounded by her family. She was one of the strongest, kindest and Godliest women to ever walk this earth and will be missed greatly. Pearl was born on March 29 th 1929 and grew up in Alameda, California where she lived until she met the love of her life Lewis in 1951. They married in 1952 and moved to Hayward and eventually Castro Valley where they raised three children Lewis Jr., Susan and Karen. Pearl worked as an underwriter in San Francisco for Industrial Indemnity Insurance for many years. When their first grandchild Cody was born, she retired to enjoy being a grandmother. Pearl was a very devote Christian until the day she died. She also loved reading, gardening, knitting and crocheting. Pearl actually became a great grandmother a year and a half prior to her death which she was thrilled. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Sr. in 2002, Lewis Jr. in 2020, her brother Milton in 1979. She is survived by daughters Susan Good (Clifford) of Sacramento, Karen Loewe (Reinhard) of Vacaville. Grandchildren Cody Good, Kristen Anthony (Jefferson), Alexander Loewe and great granddaughter Amelia Pearl Anthony (soon to have great grandson Lukas). Pearl will live in our hearts forever.

There will be a viewing and funeral servcie on Saturday, March 19th. Viewing will take place from 12-1:00 P.M. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home 524 Elmira Road in Vacaville.
